REMOTE LEARNING
Responsible Respectful Safe Work ahead of deadlines so you have time to reach out for help when needed. Always cite the sources of your images and information in your submissions. Never share your password with others. Use the calendar on your device to set due date reminders. Use your work/creation to show you in the best possible light as if it will be a part of your future portfolio. Keep your device in a safe place and maintain it by keeping it cleaned, charged, and updated. Turn work in on time. Reach out to your teacher for assistance throughout each module. -
VIDEO CONFERENCING
Responsible Respectful Safe Be on time and ready to learn. Turn video on and show your face to increase nonverbal communication. Use chat function to answer questions when it is not your turn to speak. Be present and avoid multitasking. Mute your mic when you are not talking. Do not share meeting links or passwords with those outside your class. Try and sit in an area that is quiet and free of distractions. Honor one speaker at a time and listen carefully to other speakers. Dress appropriately for school. Avoid eating during video calls. -
COMMUNICATION WITH TEACHERS
Responsible Respectful Safe Reach out when you have a question. Write professionally and in complete sentences. Use only professional and appropriate methods to contact the teacher including Canvas messaging or email. Give specific details about what you need and include your name. Allow up to 24 hours for the teacher to respond by canvas messaging on weekdays. Avoid using social media or personal cellphone to contact your teacher. Utilize office hours on Wednesday during your regular class time. Teacher working hours are between 8am-4pm weekdays. Communications after 4pm on weekdays will get a response by the next weekday. -
